The future renovations will create a safe, welcoming environment where youth can heal, grow, and thrive. The updated spaces are designed with trauma-informed care in mind, featuring durable, child-friendly furniture and calming, comfortable areas that promote emotional safety and stability. From thoughtfully designed bedrooms to soothing common areas, every element of the renovation will support recovery, resilience, and a renewed sense of hope for the youth who call The Centers’ H.O.P.E. Campus™ their refuge.
The 24/7 Welcome Center will be built through strong partnerships with Cuyahoga County and community organizations. Together, we’re designing a space that provides immediate care, safety, and support for youth and families in crisis. By working hand in hand with our partners, we’re creating a compassionate, coordinated response that brings lasting hope and healing to our community.
The Centers’ partnership with Cuyahoga County has a vital goal of creating lasting solutions for vulnerable youth. The Centers’ H.O.P.E. Campus™ demonstrates The Centers’ and the County’s commitment to ensuring that youth in County custody have a safe and therapeutic place to stay – especially those who have been turned away from other options. The campus transformation promotes a comprehensive model for assisting with rapid reunification and kinship diversion for youth and families, while providing a safe location where youth awaiting placement can be assessed and treated.
This joint effort makes meaningful progress towards providing a solution for area youth in need of placement outside of their homes.
We believe keeping local youth in Cuyahoga County is our moral obligation and is critical to family reunification and engagement. Over time, this program will reduce the number of nights any youth spends without adequate housing and help keep Cuyahoga County youth close to home. In one central location, The Centers and County staff, along with other child-serving nonprofits, can work in lockstep to get youth who have faced some of life’s harshest realities into their best placement as quickly as possible.
The Centers’ H.O.P.E. Campus™ also provides residential treatment, short-term emergency placement, and other support for youth and families. With around 50 specialized beds in a comfortable, trauma-informed environment, youth have seamless step-down and step-up options as they receive treatment close to home and work towards a path back to their families.
