Dr. LaTasha Jarrett is an only child who grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Afterward, she attended public school and, afterward, in 1997, obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Jarrett later received her medical degree in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Jarrett was the first in her family to attend an Ivy League University and obtain a medical degree. While in medical school, Dr. Jarrett’s father received a Federal Judge appointment, and her family relocated to Houston, Texas. Dr. Jarrett elected to move to Texas after completing medical school to be closer to her family. She subsequently completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training at the University of Texas in Houston. Upon graduating in 2005, Dr. Jarrett moved to Dallas, Texas. Over the next 16 years, she practiced in academic, private, and community health settings. Dr. Jarrett was most recently the Chief Medical Officer of a Federally Qualified Health Center in the Dallas, Fort Worth Area.

Developing a close patient-doctor relationship built off of mutual respect is also a priority to Dr. Jarrett. She further believes that partnering with her patients is the best recipe for success. She believes in listening to the needs and concerns of her patients. She enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology, including educating her patients and sharing in their journey through adolescent medicine, well-woman preventive care, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. In closing, Dr. Jarrett has a particular interest in preventative care and integrating mental health services and primary care. Her patients often describe her as a kind and caring physician who strives to educate and empower her patients.
