COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT WITHOUT STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION

  • Your treatment team meets multiple times per week to discuss client care.
  • In addition to therapy and psychoeducation, The Centers offers:
    • Clozapine Service – an FDA-approved medication for treatment-resistant schizophrenia.
      • Services include a dedicated nurse who can meet you in the community to provide finger-stick blood draws, condition monitoring, and more.
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) – a psychological treatment that helps people manage symptoms of psychosis. Psychosis is a mental health condition that can involve hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t there) and delusions (believing things that aren’t true).  CBTp Therapy is focused on an individuals goals, collaborative problem solving, and recovery.

      The therapy includes:
      • Identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts: This involves recognizing when thoughts are distorted or inaccurate and developing alternative ways of thinking.
      • Managing distressing symptoms: CBTp provides strategies for coping with hallucinations, delusions, and other symptoms.
      • Developing problem-solving skills: Learning how to approach challenges in a structured and effective manner.
      • Improving social and daily living skills: This includes building confidence, developing relationships, and managing everyday tasks.

CBTp is not a cure for psychosis, but it can significantly improve quality of life by helping individuals better understand and manage their symptoms.

We Treat Everyone, Always

We accept a wide range of insurance and Medicaid for services and accept patients five years of age (for most programs) and up. If you don’t have coverage or are uninsured, we have a flexible and affordable sliding fee scale for all offerings.

Reducing Barriers to Care

We want you to succeed in your treatment plan, and the best way to do that is to reduce as many barriers to care as we can. Part of that is making sure that you have access to the medications you need for treatment before you leave our building. The Centers’ Pharmacy has many of the treatments in stock, and our Pharmacists will work with your provider to find the best solution for you!

We'll Come to You — Community-Based Care

Community-based healthcare means we meet you where you’re at, and sometimes that means finding processes that help our clients get the care they need, when they need it. With initiatives like our Clozapine Clinic, we work together to improve healthcare results and make it easier for people to access care.

For people undergoing Clozapine treatment, our CLIA bloodwork machines significantly improve their patient experience.

Many people have anxiety about getting blood drawn, which can be a barrier to individuals choosing Clozapine for treatment of psychosis.  We understand that anxiety and sought out solutions for our clients to help them feel comfortable while in our care.  Our CLIA machine only requires a drop of blood from a finger prick.  By automating the bloodwork process, these machines help ensure accurate and timely Clozapine level monitoring. This rapid analysis allows for quicker adjustments to medication dosage, optimizing treatment effectiveness and minimizing side effects. As a result, patients can experience better symptom management and an improved quality of life while on Clozapine therapy.
