Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a safe and highly effective treatment for people with opioid use disorders (i.e. addiction to heroin, fentanyl, or prescription pain medications). Sometimes, this is also called Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

It has been shown to reduce the rate of overdose and death by more than half, to help people maintain sobriety from opioids, and to reduce the transmission of infectious diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C.

Reducing Barriers to Care

We want you to succeed in your treatment plan, and the best way to do that is to reduce as many barriers to care as we can. Part of that is making sure that you have access to the medications you need for treatment before you leave our building. The Centers’ Pharmacy has all of the treatments in stock, and our Pharmacists will work with your provider to find the best solution for you!
