About the Artist
Leilani Biere
Beginning as a graphite pencil artist, I have expanded beyond that to acrylic and watercolor painting, pen illustration, digital rendering, and collage. I enjoy merging portraiture with landscape through the use of different mediums. I have found success in combining illustration with type and love to bridge the gap between physical and digital design. Currently enrolled in the Visual Communication Design program at Kent State University, I have discovered a passion for design alongside illustration, and aim to take on any project that challenges my skill and understanding of visual art.
Working with The Centers as a graphic designer, my goal has been to shine a light on the clients we serve and to bring their stories to life through paint and illustration. As a visual communicator, I feel that my most important role is to humanize and capture the essence of their struggles and triumphs in order to encourage client growth and extend a sense of understanding between our organization and the individual people and broader community we serve.
